When a drilled-out core is utilised for additional products, the energy-intensive processing required to recycle the shavings generated by the standard method is avoided. This creates a circular process where the material is used in a more efficient and sustainable manner, fully aligning with XANO's focus area Waste as a Resource.

In traditional drilling of larger holes, a multi-step process is often required, which is both energy-intensive and results in increased material consumption and waste. With core drilling, the design and size of the drill bit are precisely tailored to the specific requirements, minimising waste, reducing energy consumption, and shortening processing time. These qualities make the method considerably more sustainable.
